For years I have wanted to take a helicopter ride. On a recent trip to visit a friend in Vegas before she moved, it felt like the perfect opportunity. Taking a tour of the strip at night was on the agenda, until we found a company that took helicopter rides into the Grand Canyon and we were sold on our new adventure.
I got a referral to use The Maverick Helicopter Company and they offered a variety of packages for a tour. We started by taking a small Cessna to the helicopter pad. The flight brought us beautiful aerial views of Las Vegas, the Hoover Damn, and the start of our decent into Eagle Point.
Once our plane landed we were able to explore for a couple hours before actually flying down into the Canyon. While at the Grand Canyon, we had many stops that all offered something beautiful and unique, and we couldn’t’ have asked for a better time!
Our first stop was Eagle Point, Grand Canyon West, AZ
It was so nice to sit on the edge and just watch the sun come into the canyon.
Guano Point Grand Canyon.
I highly recommend doing this experience when you are in Vegas. It’s pricey, but more then worth it. We learned a lot about the Grand Canyon, and the views were absolutely amazing!
