Whenever I travel, I always make it a priority to clear my work schedule and find some time for a nature activity. Whether it’s a hike the locals suggest, something I found on google, or a place I’ve been craving to go; I always enjoy getting out and seeing the city from a different view. On a recent trip to Colorado Springs, the Garden of the Gods was the perfect breath of fresh air I needed after a flight.
The outstanding geological features of the park were many hues of deep-red, pink, or white sand-stone. All the rocks had different shapes: toppled, overturned, stood-up, or slanted and you could easily climb your way up, under and around. When we got to the hike, there was an information center that gave us an overview about the history, the main rocks to climb and their names, and hikes you could take to the top. The park offered many activities as we saw horseback riders and rock climbers throughout our hike.
Off we went in search of beautiful views!
